Derek is a 2008  graduate of Central College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a 2012 graduate of Drake University with a Masters degree. Derek lives in Urbandale with Stephanie and their spoiled dog, Jax. As a family, they love to travel and explore new places, golf, watching fireworks whenever possible, and take in sporting events cheering on their teams. Derek also coaches football at Hoover High School.
